Niagara Sport & Social Club has been the go to location for both indoor and beach volleyball leagues and tournaments in the Niagara Region since 2009, but we are so much more than that. We are a social club first and foremost.
We offer a variety of ways for people in Niagara and surrounding areas to get active, meet new people and have fun, including leagues, tournaments, camps and clinics for any level of player. Our passion is volleyball, but our main focus is to get people in the region to be active and social.
What We Offer
We have games for people of all ages and skill levels. Everything from beginner to highly competitive games are on offer here. So whether you are looking just for good vibes and some friendly volleyball or tough and gritty competition against the best in the region, we’ve got a game for you. We offer:
We offer all levels of play for both indoor and beach volleyball. Indoor coed leagues and tournaments will consist of a 3:3 male-to-female ratio unless specified as a 4 male; 2 female format. Some of our beach volleyball options allow for 3 males and 3 females (in 6’s), while intermediate 5’s allows a 3:2 ratio, and competitive 4’s a 2:2 format.
Players can register as a team or as individuals. Individuals will be put into teams and play together each week. This is a great way to meet new people and make friends while playing a sport that you love, especially for people who are new to the area or sport and don’t have a full group to register with. Just come on down and we will get you right into the game.
Indoor volleyball is played at 1100 Niagara Street, Building A, Welland. This building offers high ceilings, nets that are previously set up to the proper height, ref stands, heaters for the cooler months, sport courts, and Mikasa official game balls for each game, as well as a raised seating area that overlooks our courts.

Summer Volleyball Camp
An indoor 5-day camp that runs in August.
Levels: There are 4 levels to choose from—Grades 5-6, grades 7-8, grades 9-10, and grades 11-12.
This camp focuses on the basics and developing players from the ground up. We focus on passing, setting, serving (underhand and overhand), and attacking. We teach proper rotation and positions so that players who are considering playing at the next level, like trying out for a travel team, will know what to expect and can be prepared for tryouts and their first season.
This camp is excellent for beginners who want to learn the game and improve their skills, and is open to both male and female athletes. The highly-qualified coaches ensure the kids are having lots of fun while developing their skills. Players leave feeling more confident in their play and excited about making new friends. Camp includes a tournament and a pizza party lunch on the last day. Each day, at lunch time, videos will be played of some of the top teams from around the world, to show the athletes what they can aspire to be as volleyball players.
Enhanced Performance Camp: This is offered for more advanced players.
This 3-day camp is for club level volleyball players who are looking prepare themselves for the upcoming season. It takes place in August before club team tryouts begin. It is open to both male and female athletes. This camp is all-encompassing. We focus on skills including:
- Serving (float, spin, overhand, and jump serving)
- Intro to plays (different sets and attacking from different positions, ex. step-around for middles)
- Proper warm up and game preparation
Players are able to learn other position essentials and fine tune the key skills for their position as well. They also learn and practice plays with a variety of different sets. This camp is perfect for individual players or full teams to register for. Coaches for the Enhanced Performance Camp are all well-established, and prepared to work hard to ensure each player leaves learning something new and feeling confident for their upcoming season. Lunch time includes videos of some of the world’s best teams playing in high level games, to set a constant reminder of how the campers should aspire to play. This camp includes a mini tournament in the afternoon of the last day and a pizza party lunch!
We also offer adult clinics in the off season. These clinics are aimed to help players who are interested in improving their skills and maybe even moving up to the next division offered (ex. moving from recreational division to the intermediate division). Players learn the essentials from some of the best coaches in the area to help them better their all-around game. Clinics are usually run as evening sessions on weekdays. Upon request, we can also have private sessions for teams who want to work on their game together, improve their skills, and their strategy. One coach with a full team experience provides one on one opportunities for players to learn more about the game, as well as technical skills and tactics. The private sessions are available for both indoor and beach volleyball upon request of teams registered with Niagara Sport & Social Club.
